What is Quarantine?

You should quarantine when you might have been exposed to the virus by a close contact and may or may not have been infected. Quarantine means staying in a specific designated location (i.e., your home or room in provided housing at Blue Ridge Assembly or your off campus designated space) away from others, for the purpose of observing and monitoring your health status for the potential development of symptoms. When you are in quarantine you cannot attend school or work in person or leave quarantine to run errands or hang out with your friends. Quarantine is also critical to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to others in our community.

What is Isolation?
